Summer nail varnish haul!

Hey lovelies!

Hope you're all well! At the moment I'm still rocking Barry M - Block Orange on my nails (as per my most recent NOTD post) but I went on a bit of a summer nail varnish splurge recently :)

All colours applied with OPI - Nail Envy as a base coat, and then 2 coats of each polish.

Bourjois:

Not a really 'out-there' shade but something that will just go with everything. I would describe it as a tea rose colour, not beige as the name suggests.

NYC:

For £1.79, you can't really complain, and I have a lot of love for the Quick Dry range of nail polishes. Manhattan and Canal Street are 2 of my winter staples, but this is the only one that stood out for me as a potential summer shade (that I didn't already have!) I would describe it as a pinky-red; an almost exact dupe of OPI - Color So Hot It Berns as seen in a previous post.

Stargazer:

I'm *very* impressed with the consistency of this £2.50 shade from New Look, it's thick and creamy and a lovely tomato red colour!

Topshop:

One of the most streaky out of them all, despite being one of the more expensive ones. Quite a 'blah' colour but I don't really have any mauve/lavender shades in my nail polish collection.

H&M:

Saving the best 'till last, I am LOVING the colour of the H&M one! I've never used H&M nail polish before but I picked this up on a whim as it was near the till! It's so bright and electric, perfect colour clash combo with orange! Fab consistency as well!

NYC Mosaic Face Powder in Pink Cheek Glow!

Hey girls!

I saw the NYC Mosaic Face Powder for the first time on Anna Saccone's blog. She looked stunning wearing it and I fancied trying it for myself :)

It retails for £4.09 and I purchased the shade Pink Cheek Glow :)

It's such a lovely shade of pink, I feel like I don't have any blushes like this in my collection! It's really pigmented and only needs one swish of blush to appear!

Overall, I love the NYC Mosaic Face Powder; it's a really lovely, girly pink that works well with a pink lip! NYC are currently on a 3 for 2 offer in Superdrug at the moment - pick up some of their Quick Dry nail polishes if you're getting it free! :)

NOTD: New York Color Quick Dry in Lincoln Square Lavender

Hi everyone!

What with the sun shining, I've switched to pastels and brights on my nails accordingly. Here's what I've been wearing lately...

I picked this up in Superdrug recently :) I was expecting it to be more lavender than pink, but it actually looks more pink on the nails. I felt a bit odd wearing it as I don't often wear pink on my nails...
It's currently priced at £2.59 in Superdrug, or 2 for £3.49. I got 10% off so it came to only £2.37 :) Absolute bargain, only required 2 coats and I love all the Quick Dry nail polishes! Well, the ones I've tried... (Canal Street and Manhattan)

I've got my eye on Times Square next - Has anyone tried it? What NYC nail colours would you recommend?

NOTD: New York Color Quick Dry in Manhattan

Hi all :)

I'm still struggling to decide what to wear on my nails at the mo; part of me wants to wear lovely spring pastels, while the other still thinks it's a bit too early! Are you having the same dilemma?! I compromised by picking up this autumn-y shade from New York Color - I wore their shade Canal Street to death (see the NOTD here) so picking up another shade from their Quick Dry range seemed only appropriate!

I wore it on Valentine's Day so it's rather special! :)

Here's what it looks like on the nails, below:

A sort of plummy-burgundy, it requires 2 coats for it not to look streaky, but then it's completely opaque. It was only £2.59 in Superdrug and I got 10% Student Discount with my NUS Extra card so it came to just over 2 quid - bargain! :)

I've got my eye on a load more NYC nail polishes, namely Uptown and Downtown! When I find a range that I like I tend to go all out and buy them all...haha!

NOTD: New York Color in Canal Street

Hi girls :)

In our house over the weekend, we celebrated Christmas early with a yummy roast, crackers, prezzies & lots of wine! A suitable Chrismassy nail varnish had to be donned accordingly!

What do you think of it?

It's New York Color in a shade called 'Canal Street' (all their nail varnishes are named after various places in New York!)

Now this is the first time I've purchased anything from the range, but I'd read about this particular shade of nail varnish on The Yummy Mummy's Beauty Blog (one of my favourite beauty bloggers out there). I picked it up in Superdrug & I think it was £2.59! I used my NUS Extra discount as well so I got an extra 10% off & it came to about £2.30 - BARGAIN!

I absolutely love it! It's so festive; it's like a dark red glitter but from different angles it has bits of purple, burgundy, even gold in it! I wouldn't say it needs 2 coats but I do anyway & it's not chipped so far (it's been about 5 days!) I will definitely be purchasing more NYC nail colours in the future!

Have you tried the NYC range? If so, what would you recommend?
