Next Winter Sale haul!

Hey lovelies!

How are we all tonight? Looking forward to the weekend? I'm just chilling out at home, sipping a mug of herbal tea and listening to Magic... I needed to relax after a rather stressful week...! First of all can I just say a big thank you to everyone for their lovely comments on my Christmas Day and New Year's Eve style post - it's so nice to have other bloggers' support, and reading such nice things! So thank you!!!

Anyway you will be surprised to read that I have done hardly any sales shopping this year. I just haven't had the time. The only sale I really take the time to go to every year is TOPSHOP's on Christmas Eve, but because I was working this year I wasn't able to go, and I didn't fancy ordering a load of stuff online that probably wouldn't fit! SOO whilst this NEXT haul may look like quite a lot, it was literally the only stuff I 'hauled' on this year and besides, I had my eye on most of the stuff even BEFORE the sale! So here's what I picked up... (FYI, everything was at LEAST half price!)

Fragrance diffuser set - WAS £16 NOW £8

Eeeek, I've been lusting after this product for AAAGES! Recently I've acquired a new fascination with fragrance diffusers. I purchased Next's Festive Spice fragrance diffuser in December and I just loved the scent, it was so nice to come home from work and have my room smelling all Christmassy. Not only that but I feel slightly uncomfortable/edgy with having candles lit in my room, so this is a nice compromise. These fragrance diffusers retail at £5e so I knew snapping this 4 piece set up for £8 (£2e) was a true bargain! I can't wait to smell them all :)

Chocolate scented candle - WAS £4 NOW £2

Now, dismissing everything I just said about not liking candles, I just couldn't resist this one! You know why...?

It smells like CHOCOLATE!!! I might not even light it - I might just keep smelling it, to curb my cocoa cravings, haha. It's delicious!

Glass tea light holder - WAS £3.50 NOW £1.50

Yeah, I know... LOL. The truth is, a couple of years ago I bought a packet of about 50 tea lights. Not sure why. I think it was to set a romantic ambience when the bf came to visit. I've not used them since so I figured buying this pretty tea light holder would give me an excuse to try and use them up? Let's see shall we!

Grey marl ballerina slippers - WAS £7 NOW £2

Yeah that's right... £7 down to just £2! That's £1 a slipper! What a bargain. A girl can never have too many slippers! I was tempted to buy these in Navy as well but I thought that was going a bit too far. They're super comfy and keep my tootsies nice and warm, result :)

Stripe slipper boots - WAS £10 NOW £5

I was looking ahead to the summer when I bought these, as I think my cosy cream fleece lined slipper boots that I bought from Next a couple of months ago are just going to make my feet too hot. These are a softer jersey material that I'm hoping will keep my feet a lot cooler. Definitely not because I split coffee all over my cream ones and they're non-machine washable... No, definitely not...

Black bejewelled headband - WAS £8 NOW £4

You may recognise this headband from a certain NYE outfit :) That was solely the reason I bought this to be honest as I thought it suited the 20's theme of the party, but I reckon I will get a lot of wear out of it anyway as I love the whole headband around your head thing... :)

Gold necklace - WAS £10 NOW £5

This was probably the only thing I HADN'T planned to buy! I know, out of all of this... lol. I figured a chic gold necklace never goes out of fashion and you can't go wrong for a fiver :)

Gold hoop earrings - WAS £6 NOW £2

Same with these really, as if I haven't got enough earrings already I decided I needed another pair! I've tried them on and they look a little chavvy... Let's hope they'll work with the right outfit, eh!

Black leather wash bag - WAS £18 NOW £8

Funnily enough, I actually bought this wash bag for my boyfriend for Christmas. Yes, it's a Menswear item. He loved it and I have to say I suddenly got well jel. So as soon as I saw that one of them went into the sale, I had to buy one for myself!

Black leather will never go out of style, and it's the perfect size to fit all my toiletries/make-up in my handbag, even if it does look a little 'macho'...

Black patent Mary Jane heels - WAS £30 NOW £14

And finally, saving the best 'til last! (well they were the most expensive!) I really DO NOT own a pair of heels like these; a smart pair of black heels that can be worn to work or for occasion wear. I actually wore them on NYE as I felt they suited the 20's theme rather well and I do think I will get a lot of wear out of them. Not only because they're chic black patent, but I also felt that my feet were properly 'strapped into' the shoes because of the strap! Oh, and did I mention they were half price? ;-)

So overall girlies I think I've done rather well. It came to just over £50 in total, and I saved a massive £61 on the original prices! I definitely think I will get a lot of use out of all the items and that's all my January sales shopping done now :) Also, if you're interested here's what I splashed the cash on in last year's January sales.

The Next Summer Sale haul!

Hey loves!

Hope you're all having a great weekend and enjoying the sunny weather! :-)

Now if you're like me and love a bargain, you can't have missed the Next sale recently. They even had TV adverts which I spotted in the gym! My Nan gave me some birthday money to spend so I set myself a budget and stuck to it, believe me I cut down A LOT - I had £500+ worth of stuff I wanted to buy in the sale (working there doesn't help!) but I managed to cut it down to this lot... phew!

Black patent bag - WAS £20 NOW £10

I knew this bag would be a staple in my wardrobe so I couldn't say no. You could literally wear with with ANYTHING! I will wear it to smarten up my A/W outfits. I was more tempted by the A/W sale stuff than any of the summery stuff to be honest as there's not much left of the summer months! Instead I opted for pieces that could take me into autumn :)

Camel patent bag - WAS £20 NOW £10

The same as above but in a lovely, chic camel colour! Well camel never goes out of style, does it? This will instantly update an all-black outfit. I love the little gold studs on the bottom as well :)

Tan satchel - WAS £30 NOW £15

I had my eye on this before it went in the sale and I'm SO glad it did! I've been looking for a quality tan satchel for ages! I'm not sure if it's real leather or not (probably not) but it looks like its real so that's fine with me! It's so spacious inside, it can fit all my belongings, and I love the little pocket for my phone and iPod, etc :) It has a grab handle, as well as a long strap, which is really handy! Bargain :)

Leopard pashmina - WAS £14 NOW £6

I've been on the hunt for a leopard print scarf for ages now as all the celebs seem to be wearing them! I'll be wearing mine with a black blazer, skinny jeans and pumps for that Mary-Kate look :)

Camel button skirt - WAS £32 NOW £15

This was something a customer returned and I put it on hold right away! I wasn't sure about it at first as it's very clingy but it's so timeless I thought I'd get a lot of wear out of it :)

Tribal disc necklace - WAS £10 NOW £5

This was one of the few summer items I bought - I just love these statement necklaces! I'll be wearing it with a simple black jumpsuit and tan wedges. Also, it's amazing because it can be worn as a long pendant (above) or...

as a short, choker-style necklace. How versatile!

Dark denim bootcut jeans - WAS £20 NOW £10

I've never worn, or even bought, a pair of bootcut jeans before but I tried these on with a pair of tan wedges and they really elongated and slimmed down my legs! Well you can't go wrong there! I plan to wear them with a chic white blazer and a vest top or blouse. I have picked up a number of pairs of jeans in the Next sale - they really are amazing quality and last for AGES! I have to order the Petite length, though :-(

My budget was £60 but I used £5 of my own money to buy the necklace, so it came to £65 overall.

Hey everyone!

I hope you've all had a wonderful Christmas & New Year! I'm back to uni soon. Eek!

Have you been snapping up lots of lovely January sale bargain? I know I have! Here's what I picked up...

Clothing

Cable fisherman jumper - WAS £30 NOW £15 - Next

Now, working in Next as a Christmas temp, I get first pickings of all the sale items. Lucky girl! This chunky cable knit jumper caught my eye and when I tried it on it fitted perfectly. I've been wearing it almost daily since, in fact, I'm wearing it now! It's so warm & I can just throw it on with a pair of black skinny jeans & look stylish. Love the camel colour as well.

Stripe crop top - WAS £16 NOW £8 - Next

Another Next bargain; Love their sales (everything's half price or less!) I bought this to wear to work :) It was a bit tight with the shoulder pads so I cut them out & it fits much better now. I wear it with black tight jeans & biker boots. I get told I look like a bumble bee... Oh well :) Since when are bumble bees camel and black anyway?

Satin boned bustier - WAS £28 NOW £12 - Next

This was an absolute steal; It's even more than half price! I'm planning on wearing it with black high waisted shorts & lashes of black and gold jewellery. I like the accent details on the bust & bottom lining. I've been looking for a bustier top like this for ages... Thank you, Next!

Brocade skirt - WAS £16 NOW £12 - Clothing at Tesco

I wore this festive skirt on Christmas day! Brocade print to me always signals winter and nothing beats black and gold at Christmastime. Not quite half price but a bargain nonetheless. See what it looks like on me here.

Cropped shoulder jacket - WAS £25 NOW £12.50 - Clothing at Tesco

Absolutely love this jacket. Had my eye on it for a while & when it went half price in the sale I snapped it up in the sale. I believe I used a 25% off £25 voucher I found online as well... Love those :) I wore it with the skirt (above) on Christmas day and I love the statement shoulder detail. I always think these type of jackets are very Kim Kardashian; Here's her wearing black cropped jackets in the press.

Black shorts with gold button detail - WAS £35 NOW £20 - Topshop

I wasn't sure about these shorts when I saw them on the hanger but when I tried them on I fell in love. They suited my figure perfectly and I envisioned myself wearing them with a patent black waist belt, black tights and a bustier like the one above. Can't wait to wear this look :)

Accessories

Black sequinned purse - WAS £6 NOW £3 - Topshop

I picked up this little purse at the last minute while I was queueing for the shorts (above). I've been on the hunt for a cute little purse for nights out that fits just my cash & cards in. I believe this glittery beauty fits the bill :)

It has 2 compartments; perfect for cash/cards. Love it :)

Black box clutch - WAS £10 NOW £5 - Matalan.co.uk

I've never bought anything from Matalan before aside from a pair of wellies, mainly because there's not one within walking/public transport distance. I've been looking for a black box clutch since autumn; I've scoured eBay (too quirky), Topshop (too expensive) & vintage stores but to no avail. Who knew I'd find one on Matalan? It was half price & I found a 10% off code online so it was cheap as chips and arrived in a few days. It has a long metal strap as well but I've tucked it into the bag in this pic. Sadly you get what you pay for and it broke the first night I used it but I fixed it and you'll never know... Oh well, it was only a fiver!

Patent waist belt - WAS £12 NOW £6 - Next

This wasn't a completely necessary purchase but I'm a big fan of waisted belts and could see it fitting into my wardrobe quite effortlessly. Will pair it with the chic black Topshop shorts (above).

Velvet bow hair clips - WAS £6 NOW £3 - ASOS.com

I saw a similar pair to this from Topshop advertised in Heat magazine and vied for them. Then I found these beauties half price, added them to my bag, got 10% student discount, free delivery & hey presto... I'm wearing them the next day! I'm so lazy when it comes to hair & beauty products nowadays; I'm an ASOS Premier member so I get free next-day delivery & returns as well as 10% student discount so it's cheaper to buy stuff online that it is to walk/get the bus to town and buy stuff in Boots or Topshop. Whoops. Contributing to the demise of the great British High Street...

Cream wool over the knee socks - WAS £10 NOW £5 - Flirt at ASOS.com

I did have a pair of cream woolly over the knee socks but I lost them... Uh-oh. These were half price on ASOS so I snapped them up. Unfortunately I brought the boots back I planned to wear them with and haven't worn them since I bought them but we shall see. Hopefully.

Beauty

No7 Bronzing set - WAS £15 NOW £7.50 - Boots

This was on my Christmas list & I didn't get it so I thought - half price? Gotta have it. In fact I wanted it so badly that I hid it in a different section in Boots because I couldn't buy it at the time. Nobody found it! So I bought it... Cheeky :)

It contains 2 different bronzers; From top to bottom:

Mosaic bronzer

Bronzer duo

Quilted bronzer

& a big fat bronzing/kabuki brush. For £7.50? Not bad.

The only one I've tried so far is the bronzing duo coupled with the bronzing brush and it's been pretty good so far. Glides on for an all-over glow. Can't wait to try the others :)

Sanctuary Spa Perfect Skin set - WAS £18 NOW £9 - Boots

Another Christmas list product I hid in Boots to buy at a later date... Please tell me I'm not the only one who does this? My friend Flo raves about Sanctuary stuff for skin so I thought it was worth a try for £9. It essentially contains a posh cleanser, toner, moisturiser, exfoliant & eye cream to name but a few. Let's see how it turns out :) I quite fancy the Sanctuary Spa Brightening Facial kit as well; has anyone tried it? Sadly I can't afford a real facial so I'm hoping a facial kit will suffice!

Overall I reckon I've made some pretty decent sale purchases :) Bargain hunting is in my blood!
